A rivalry is set to be renewed as the UAAP’s two most storied dance squads are set to open and close the 2015 UAAP Cheerdance Competition.
Eight-time champion University of the Philippines is set to open the Oct. 3 spectacle while fellow eight-time champion University of Santo Tomas is the last to perform.
Both the UP Pep Squad and UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe hold the most championships in the yearly contest with the former winning two three-peats from 1999-2001 and from 2010-2012, and the latter distinguishing themselves with a five-peat from 2002-2006.
De La Salle University Animo Squad is the second to perform while Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion comes in at third.
Three-peat seeking National University Pep Squad stakes its title as the fourth performers with University of the East Pep Squad following behind.
Adamson University Pep Squad takes its turn as the sixth performer and 2009 Champions Far Eastern University Cheering Squad is the seventh team on the order.
The annual competition is set at the Mall of Asia Arena at 2 p.m.
